The Tent Mender

The Tent Mender, written and directed by Laura Hand, is a three-part docufiction series on Amazon. We see an inside look at the raw and true stories of people experiencing homelessness on Skid Row. Woven together through a fictional character, the Tent Mender, we meet diverse people with unique experiences illustrating that it could be any one of us on these streets. In a desperate attempt not to relapse, the Tent Mender goes back to Skid Row to help others. Emmy-award winner Peter Coyote, narrates the Tent Mender’s journal revealing the character’s personal journey of self-reflection and redemption. His discoveries reveal the beauty that exists in this raw and gritty world.
